Wagtail Courtship

If you look carefully you can see two wagtails in this picture. Both are near the entrance to the trolley park. The grey-backed female is flying in from the left. A dark backed male is scuttling across the tarmac.

It was cute watching them playfully follow each other around the carpark. Many bird species are begining to prepare for the breeding season. These two appear paired off already . Conditions permitting, expect to see other species in pairs and to hear more birdsong later in the month.
